Raising a family can be the most rewarding and the most challenging task we undertake in our lives.  Some people find it hard from the moment their little ones arrive whereas others find the pre-pubescent and teenage years more challenging.

What most families experience is a disharmony of sorts.  Where family members are fighting, not getting along and that ease of family life is lost.  Being part of the family it makes it hard to see what the problems are and how each person in the family contributes to the issue.

The way we learn how to be parents comes from the best and worst aspects of our our parents and the way we were raised.  When 2 partners come together they therefore have very different ideas on discipline, how people should behave and what a family should look like.  It is very easy for issues to come up as a result of this and issues with the children end up flowing over into the relationship.

How will a Family Assessment help me?

A family assessment is an in depth process which involves meeting with all members of the family and discussing the issues.  This involves individual discussions with each member and potentially a group discussion.  After the interview process has taken place, a detailed plan is devised for your family specifically on what needs to be worked on and changed in order to create more harmony, balance and contentment for your family.  You will be provided with a written report on the current family dynamics and suggestions for change.
