Relationship Counselling

Being in a relationship is one of the most challenging things we can do in our lives yet many people don't have the tools they need in order to make a relationship successful and often end up scratching their heads wondering why things went wrong.

Once the honeymoon period wears off, most couples find that more than love is needed in order to maintain harmony and true happiness in their relationship and sort through their differences.

Additionally when children arrive it can often be an overwhelming and difficult time for both parents bringing in new issues regarding how to raise the child as well as old unresolved issues usually again resurfacing.

Some areas which couples counselling could help are:

• Couples who fight constantly and are caught in a criticism, judgment and blame cycle.
• A relationship in which one (or both) partners have had an affair and they wish to salvage the relationship and rebuild the trust.
• Couples who find their spark has gone and they feel they are like friends rather than lovers.
• Couples who have just had children and are finding the transition difficult.
• Couples who feel their past issues are effecting their relationships such as irrational fears or paranoia about their partners leaving or rejecting them.
• Help with blended and step family integration.

Sessions are held as a couple and also individually so all aspects of the issues are dealt with and the couples learn how to communicate and reconnect.
